Sarah Pavek, M.A., L.P. is a licensed psychologist with 25 years of experience providing evidence-based treatment for kids with Selective Mutism and co-occurring disorders. Sarah has worked with many wonderful families in the past and is well respected in the state of Minnesota for treating children and teens with Selective Mutism.
Sarah has successfully treated hundreds of children, teens, and adults using a multi-modal treatment approach, designed to increase social communication, social engagement, verbal communication and promote self awareness and confidence.
Sarah recently transitioned out of providing individual therapy services directly to children. This has allowed her time to follow her passion, which involves facilitating the planning and development of the first SM camp in Minnesota. Her knowledge and experience are what every teen with SM (and their family) needs!
Sarah works closely with parents to decrease family accommodations by teaching new ways to interact with their anxious children. By working with both children and parents, skills are taught which will help create long-lasting changes and will be transferred to other concerns in the future. Her goal is to empower children and their parents to live life to its fullest and for every child to reach their full potential.
